AMS provides a function to bind a MR with another MR. This function, REFER TO MR, allows to maintain a status by reference to the status of other MRs.
Example n°1: You are a European airline (registered in a European country) and operates Boeing 737 aircraft. As a European airline, you have to implement and keep updated an AD status of European (EASA) ADs. In the meantime, you need to implement and keep updated a FAA AD status (original certifying authority). If the EASA AD is a pure coverage of the FAA AD, you can set the EASA AD to refer to the FAA AD. In that case, the status of the EASA AD will be the one of the FAA AD.
Example n°2: Two modifications (standards) are performed by the embodiment of a SB. You can set the two modifications to refer to the SB. The embodiment of the SB will set the status of the two modifications as embodied.
Warning: When using the "REFER TO MR" function, the user must ensure that the two MRs are homogenous, have the same effectivity and the same compliance logic (in the above example n°2, the SB must be "ONE TIME" to be homogenous with a modification)
