Cross referencing the MRs by their document of reference is a powerful function of AMS:
Each MR is associated with its reference documents. The reference documents can be of two different types:
- documents related to the accomplishment instructions of the MR (AMM, EMM, WDM, OHM, etc)
- documents supporting the requirement (MR) and its repeat interval (MRB, MPD, AD, ALI, CMR, etc)
When a reference document has been revised, displaying the MRs by their document of reference gives a complete view of changes at the MR level. For example, to display the MRs impacted by the revision of an MRB item: select the concerned aircraft type, set Doc.Ref to the concerned MRB item (example "MRB 25-869"), select the "Display by Doc.Ref" function and press the "Search" button)
This function is also particularly powerful to check that a maintenance programme is covering all items of an MPD / MRB. To check if a maintenance programme is covering 100% of an MPD: select the concerned protocol, set Doc.Ref to "MPD*", select the "Display by Doc.Ref" function and press the "Search" button. The entire maintenance programme is displayed by cross reference to the MPD items (if the maintenance programme covers 100% of the MPD items, you should read the same items in the MPD as in AMS).
