2.10: Multi Companies

iCare AMS can be shared between several companies of the same group. This feature requires to be activated by license. In case your license does not include "Multi-Companies", the special fields and functions exposed in this chapter will not be displayed in your version of iCare AMS.

The "Multi-Companies" functionality is designed to allow several companies to work together by sharing the same data (shared data visibility) while maintaining a high level of segregation regarding data protection (protected writes).

General Principles:

01/ When a document is created by a user from the company A, this document belongs to the company A. Users from another company than A can read the document but cannot modify it.

02/ A user from the company A can modify the document if he/she has the privilege required under his/her user account

03/ The ownership of a document can be modified only by those users having "ADMIN (general)" privilege and "User's rights (Modify)" privilege.

Module / Maintenance Works (WO):

WOs are managed in accordance with the General Principles, to the exception and precisions that follows:

01/ If a WO is related to an aircraft, the CAMO organization of this aircraft has the same privileges as the owner (of the WO).

02/ If a WO is launched to a MRO, this MRO can modify all fields related to work completion (Work Performed, Review 2, Manual Status). The MRO can also raise a defect (NRC), defer a work and raise a PR. The MRO cannot modify any other fields (Next Due, Maintenance Instructions). If the option "MRO can add WOs to a WP launched to them" is selected in your general settings, the MRO can also add WO to a work package provided the WP is launched to this MRO

03/ If a WO relates to an aircraft, the MCC (Maintenance Control Center) company which is defined for this aircraft (ref the Aircraft window) can make the same changes as the assigned MRO  (Work Performed, Review 2, Manual Status, raise NRC, defer WO). If the option "MCC can add / remove WOs from any WP (remove WP ownership protection)" is selected in your general settings, the MCC  can also add and remove WO from work packages. In addition, MCC can assign WOs to a MRO.

Note that being a member of the assigned MRO or being a member of the MCC does not give any right if the user does not have the required user right (for example, modifying the "Work Performed" field requires the "WO Modify" user right)

Important: Other rules apply to WO approval and ownership ( WO Approval, reviews, ownership ).

04/ Adding a WO into a Work-package (WP) is allowed when :

- User has the right "Work-Packages (Modify)"

and at least one of this condition is met:

- (MCC is allowed to alter WP (in general settings)) and (User's company = MCC of the WP's aircraft)

- (MRO are allowed to alter WP (in general settings)) and (User's company = MRO of the WP) and (User's company = WO Owner or MR Owner)

Module / Maintenance Requirements (MR):

MRs are managed in accordance with the General Principles above, without deviation.
