MRs are classified into the following classes:
- CANCELLATION: is defined as a cancellation

Note that the term Cancellation is used instead of Canceled. This is due to the amendment history recording: The canceled MR is Replaced by another MR which is a Cancellation.
- REPLACED: The "replaced by" field points to another MR; and is not classified as one of the previous classes.

- REFER TO MR: The "Refer to MR" field point to another MR; and is not classified as one of the previous classes.

- EVENT DRIVEN: Is defined as "Event driven"; and is not classified as one of the previous classes.

- ONE TIME: Has no repeat interval (executed one time only) and is not classified as one of the previous classes.

- UNLIMITED: is not associated with a limitation (no threshold / no interval) and is not classified as one of the previous classes.

- REPETITIVE: is not classified as one of the previous classes (has a repeat interval)
