The "Status", as displayed on the MR selection filter, stands for the status of the associated WO (Work Orders)

Therefore, selecting a status on the MR selection filter makes sense when an effectivity is also defined in this filter (ex: searching the MRs with an open status should means "open on the aircraft ..." or "on the component ..."). If the effectivity is not defined in the filter, the results will be all MRs having at least one status matching the selected one for any of its appliances.
