To record a new MR:
If the MR you are considering to create is an amendment of an existing MR, refer to the article Using amendments,
else:
1- if the new MR is a revision of an existing one, or if it is similar to another MR, select the original MR (MR selection)
2- Click on the "Add" button
and select the appropriate option:
1st selection:
- Add an effective (approved) MR: if the MR to be created has to be considered as directly effective and approved.
- Add an amendment (New pending requirement): the MR will be created as an amendment and will not be considered as effective until the amendment is turned to effectiveness (see Using amendments)
2nd selection:
- < void >: the MR type will be selected in a list and the MR will be created starting from a blank sheet.
- Copy current: the MR will be created by copying the main fields of the displayed one (the status are not copied)
3- Fill the header and parameter fields, then click on the "Validate" button
4- Once the MR is created (an Id has been allocated by AMS), fill the data relevant to the operations and status (status initialization) and "Validate" your changes.
5- If the newly created MR is a revision of an existing one (a revision, not an amendment), the link between the MRs shall be created by setting the "Replaced by" field of the revised MR to the identifier (Id) of the created one.
